history

The history of our activity - that is, of the Restaurant casadospinheiros - can be told in various ways. We prefer to do it in a simple way, because the reason for our presence in the restaurant sector is similar to many others, but with a difference: it is that we are presented here to those who know us and those who one day will know us, as a testimony which they can verify at a time they consider to be opportune. This is the affirmation of anyone who, like everybody else, from a child, grew and began to feel his identity, to later invest and reach the point of sensing his past... always present.

This is the point at which we now find ourselves, where we can affirm and reinforce our dedication to what we have always done, in the restaurant business.

It is very easy to be the proprietor of a restaurant... This is a combined investment - of knowing, understanding and liking what one is doing, which is consolidated from day to day, growing ever more towards the higher sense of responsibility of creating dishes for everybody, every day - and what a responsibility! But with the dream almost realised, - already exhausted at the end of another day, we dream - tired, but happy, and we do not give up.

But, you will certainly already have noticed that this story is being told in the plural - "we dream", "we find", "we believe", etc. This brothers - Elisiário and Álvaro - dedicated ourselves to pots and plates; to the dishes and seafood and to that which is expected from a good restaurant for the satisfaction of its clients. 

But we are here for that which is our destiny: to create a restaurant of quality, well located, and above all, accessible, where the capacity of response is never questioned. And following this rationale, to describe that which in our souls we idealise, certainly that we will never leave here. However, we do not wish to abuse your patience, so we decided to create this space to illustrate to you... telling you about conversations with our clients and what they tell us about the casadospinheiros !
